Lag
A style of play called "loose aggressive" where a player gets involved with a lot of starting hands and raises a lot.

Laydown
A difficult decision to fold a good hand where you think your opponent has you beat with an even better hand.

Lead
The player who takes control of the betting is said to be “in the lead”

Limit
The minimum or maximum amount that you are allowed to bet.

Limp In
Where you simply complete the bet when you enter the pot, instead of raising.

Limp-Reraise
Where you limp into a hand and you are then raised – you then take control of the betting by reraising the last bet. This can be done with a very strong or a very weak hand.

Live Game
A game with a lot of action, usually including many unskilled players, especially maniacs.

Loose
A “loose player” is one who has very slack starting requirements and isn’t afraid to raise or reraise with almost any two cards.
