Value Bet
A bet made by a player who wants it to be called. This is typically because they have a strong hand that they expect to win, or a very good draw for which he can increase his pot equity by more than the amount of his bet.

Vigorish/Vig
Also known as the rake. A small percentage of the pot taken by the house to cover the costs of running the game
